Replacement Windscreens
BCJ Plastic Products in Kewdale W.A. manufacture a specialised range of high-performance plastic windscreens designed to meet the rigorous demands of industrial, agricultural, and recreational environments. Based in Perth, the company leverages over 40 years of manufacturing expertise to provide durable, cost-effective alternatives to traditional glass windows, specifically targeting heavy machinery and specialized vehicles.
Heavy Machinery & Industrial Applications
A significant portion of BCJ's windscreen product line is dedicated to earthmoving and construction equipment. They offer precision-engineered replacement screens for major brands including Bobcat, Caterpillar (CAT), Ford, New Holland, International, and Case. These windscreens are designed to fit specific model series—such as the Bobcat S and T series or CAT’s extensive range of skid steer loaders—ensuring a seamless fit for maintenance and repair of modern fleets.
Material Options & Customisation
BCJ Plastics distinguishes its products by offering a variety of material and aesthetic choices tailored to specific working conditions:
-
Acrylic (Clear or Tinted): A lightweight and cost-efficient option that offers excellent UV resistance and superior clarity compared to glass.
-
Polycarbonate (Clear or Tinted): For high-impact environments, polycarbonate provides extreme durability and shatter resistance, making it essential for safety in mining and construction.
-
Tinted Options: Available in grey tints to reduce glare, enhancing operator comfort and safety during long shifts in bright conditions.
By combining advanced fabrication techniques with high-quality performance plastics, BCJ Plastics provides solutions that are strong and also lighter and easier to maintain than glass, ensuring long-term reliability for their clients across Australia.
PLEASE NOTE:
BCJ Plastics range of high quality Acrylic or Polycarbonate Bobcat and other Skid Steer Loader replacement front screens are made to order locally in Perth and although Earthmoving Warehouse stock the most common items in the range, some products may need to be shipped directly to you after purchase and manufacturing.
Why choose Acrylic?
BCJ Plastics Acrylic screens are robust and resistant to most expected impacts in normal operating conditions. They offer crystal clear visibility, and superior scratch resistance, meaning they are a long lasting option. Note that a significant impact will cause the Acrylic to crack or to shatter into relatively large pieces compared to what would be expected from glass.
Why choose Polycarbonate?
BCJ Plastics recommend the Polycarbonate screens for applications where there is significant risk of danger to the operator from an object penetrating the screen -such as forestry or quarry operations. Polycarbonate offers the significant benefit of being highly impact resistant, however the material is much less resistant to scratching and the impact of general wear and tear. For example, if a Polycarbonate screen is fitted, we don’t recommend having wipers on the screen as they will scratch it. BCJ Plastics don’t recommend Polycarbonate for most applications for this reason – but where protection of the operator is paramount, it is a perfect option.
